How legal credit repair worksBefore we get into the specifics of how our credit repair program works, we'd like to dispel some of the myths and misconceptions most people have about credit repair in general.Myth #1: Credit Reporting Agencies are part of the government.
Not true. Credit reporting agencies are not in any way affiliated with the government. Credit reporting agencies are private corporations that make their money by collecting information about you and selling it to others (such as banks, car dealerships, mortgage companies, etc.).Myth #2: Bad credit cannot be erased from your credit report.
Not true. Commonwealth Credit Repair has helped to legally delete over 250,000 items from credit reports. By knowing the law and your rights as a consumer, negative items can be erased from your credit report if the following criteria cannot be proven:
- Is the item 100% accurate?
- Is the item 100% complete?
- Does the item meet all federal reporting requirements?
- Does the item meet all state reporting requirements?
- Can the item be properly verified?
- Were reasonable procedures taken before posting?
- Can the furnisher supply all supporting documentation?
How often do any of the above instances not occur? Frequently! According to the United States Public Interest Research Group, there is a 79% error rate with credit reports. WHAT TO EXPECT
What to expect in the credit repair process
Step One
1 – 7 DAYS: We will set up your case and order your credit reports for you.
Step Two
8+ DAYS: We will work on your case to remove negative information from your credit reports.
Step Three
60 DAYS: You will receive your first results (deletions).As a client, you will need to forward anything you receive in the mail from the credit reporting agencies and data furnishers to our office. In some cases, we may prepare correspondence on your behalf for you to mail out to these companies (this does not happen often). The letters we prepare for you will need to be sent out via certified mail. The post office will charge you a certified mailing fee of about $3.24. How long does the credit repair process take? That depends on how many negative items you have on your credit reports when you begin the process. We will determine how many months it will take based on the following chart:

The initial setup fee is paid seven (7) days after you sign up. The monthly payments are billed every thirty (30) days thereafter, for work performed the previous month. Your credit repair program includes:

How long do I pay the $85 monthly fee?
That depends on how many negative items you have on your credit report. Unlike other companies, we do not set your account up for never-ending monthly payments. Why pay for an entire year if you only have eight (8) negative items on your credit report?
